3rd Annual National Trustee Forum Conference
(for Community and Comprehensive Schools)

In May last year a large number of Trustees/Patrons attended the NTF Conference. The feedback was excellent from those attending.
This year the Conference, chaired by Monsignor Jim Cassin, Chairperson NTF, will include presentations by the following:
· Mr. Ciarán Flynn, General Secretary, ACCS.
· Ms. Anne O’Keeffe C.E.O. Co. Laois VEC.
· Ms. Eilis Humphreys, Education Officer, Le Chéile Trust.
· Mr. Martin Hanevy, Assistant Secretary, Department of Education & Skills.
· Fr. Michael Drumm, Executive Chairperson, Catholic Schools Partnership.
The following topics will be dealt with at the conference with facilitated discussion:
· The DES view on the Review of the Deed of Trust and possible new models of co-patronage.
· Maintaining the characteristic spirit in a multidenominational setting.
· Practical issues arising for VEC and Religious Trustees in the Joint Patronage model.
· An overview of the working implications of the Guidelines for Trustees by ACCS incorporating the Responsibilities of Patrons/Trustees under the Education Act 1998.
