In-School Management Conference

The ACCS In-School Management took place in Athlone on November 17th/18th. The main theme of the Conference was school self-evaluation with presentations from three members of the Inspectorate, Mr. Gary O'Donnacha, Deputy Chief Inspector, Ms. Suzanne Dillon and Ms. Deirdre Matthews, Senior Inspectors. Mr. Denis Ring, Principal Blackwater Community School, Lismore outlined his school's experience with the practical realities of self-evaluation.   Mr. Gerard O'Hanlon, CEO of STREDIA outlined the results of a study on ACCS Principals in respect of stress.  Mr. Ciarán Flynn and Ms. Eileen Salmon presented on issues associated with usage of the 33 hours and Posts of Responsibility.  The Presentations are available here.
