Dear Colleagues,
The State Examinations Commission has advised that appeal results of the 2026 Leaving Certificate will issue at 11.00 am tomorrow, Friday the 25th of September.
See attached circular letter, which is also available on the SEC’s website at www.examinations.ie.
The 2026 Leaving Certificate appeal results will be available to candidates via the Candidate Self Service Portal from 11.00 am on Friday the 25th of September 2026; schools access results at the same time through the Schools Portal.
Candidates can apply to view their appealed scripts by emailing their application by 5.00 pm on Monday the 28th of September 2026; applications to the Independent Appeals Scrutineers (IAS) must be submitted by 5.00 pm on Monday the 12th of October 2026.
The post-marking adjustment process continues in 2026, with adjustments calibrated to keep results slightly above 2020 levels while gradually returning to pre-pandemic standards; any mark changes from appeals trigger a recalculation of the adjustment.
Helplines for candidates and schools are available from 11.00 am on the 25th of September 2026, and the process is designed to integrate with CAO offers, with Round 5 offers issued on Tuesday the 29th of September 2026.
Please note: Junior Cycle results will be available on Wednesday October 7th at 10.00 am through the school portal.
