ACCS: Invitation to Education Conference hosted by Kildare Town Community School, on Wednesday the 17th of April 2024.

The ACCS Annual Education Conference is scheduled to take place on Wednesday the 17th of April 2024. The event is being hosted by Kildare Town Community School, Dunmurry Rd, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare.  

This year's Conference holds special significance as we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultural diversity in Kildare and commemorate the 1500th anniversary of St. Brigid. The event will underscore the importance of community bonds within the educational context and explore ways to harness this strength for the betterment of our schools and society.

Please find attached the draft agenda for your reference. It encompasses a variety of engaging sessions, workshops, and activities, including:

·    A Special Education Section led by David Delaney from Mindful Spark, delving into wellness and community projects.

·    A Teaching & Learning session in collaboration with UCD Innovation Academy, centering on innovative pedagogical approaches.

·    School Tours offering insights into teaching methodologies and student engagement, with visits to the ASD Acorn center.

·    Concurrent Workshops covering a wide range of topics such as Spiritual Wellbeing, Heritage Preservation, Interactive Technology, and Leadership.

·    The Final Challenge, featuring a World Record attempt and highlighting the student voice through the Peace Ambassadors Initiative.

Who should attend:

Principals, Deputy Principals, Members of Boards of Management, subject teachers, and other members of the school community.

Delegate Registration:

Schools are requested to register delegates on the ACCS Online School Portal. To access the school portal log on to https://www.accscloud.net. You will require your Username (last 4 digits of the main school Phone Number) and password and a maths captcha to login. Registration Fee:

The fee to attend the in-person Education Conference is €40.00 per delegate.

ACCS will send an invoice to schools for payment following the Conference.
