Please find attached ACCS/Info Bulletin 27/2026 Re: Cl 0078/2026 + Guidance for Boards of Management on the planned one-day work stoppage on 14 October and 21 October 2026

 Dear Boards of Management and Principals,

We understand that the current industrial action in schools may have an impact on your school at present and over the coming period. We are working closely with school management bodies, which will be able to advise boards of management as appropriate. Further information on trade union work stoppages in the education sector is available in Circular 0078/2026

The department is also engaging with Bus Éireann in relation to school transport arrangements. Schools should liaise directly with school transport operators on any issues that may affect services.

Please note that some of the department’s customer services may be delayed or disrupted, as a result of the industrial action. This may impact our ability to respond to your query or request in a timely manner.
